Trip Overview

Camel Trekking is a 4-day, 3-night journey from M’Hamid El Ghizlane deep into the Sahara, walking alongside pack camels through palm groves, changing dune landscapes and rocky plateaus. You’ll camp each night in a different spot, visit an ancient oasis, and experience nomadic desert life at a slow, walking pace — a good option for travelers who want more time in the dunes than a short bivouac allows.

Duration

4 days / 3 nights — departure from M’Hamid, three nights camping in the desert, return on day 4.

What’s Included

  • Local guide for the full trek
  • Pack camel(s) to carry equipment and supplies
  • All meals (lunch, dinner, breakfast) prepared in camp

A riding camel (for travelers who prefer to ride rather than walk) can be added for $33 per camel per day.
